vfd display

finally the vfd is working. is there a way to remove the scrolling "xbmc running" and date on my vfd? i did edit the lcd.conf and lcd.xml and still showing up on vfd.

why do you first create links for init script...but after that step start irserver manually?

whats the output of /etc/init.d/irserver start?

BTW: always use the scripts provided by os to create startup/shutdown links...for example update-rc.d irserver defaults

its working. i have to use different irserver script.
