HTPC issues WIN8 X64
#1
Hi,

I'm running WIN8 X64 on a barebone HTPC ATOM/ATI Radeon HD based machine.
So far everything but the latest stable XBMC 12.0 runs like a charm. I can play network files up to 1080p through VLC but when I try to open the same videos in XBMC I get tons of dropped frames and just stuttering video. I tried a few settings (especially the guides for an onkyo avr and all that but to no avail) and of course the newest working driver combination.
Any idea what could be wrong ?
Btw. network speed is good, even without jumbo frames I get at least 90 Mbytes/s from the share in question.

You might want to carefully go over audio output in Frodo one more time. More often than not the stuttering on Frodo is cause by wrong audio output configurations. Here are some tips- Audio output configurations-
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

Hi,
yeah I went through that guide before. For some reason after a reboot today most videos work ok but I have quite a few music videos as ts files and for some reason those don't run in xbmc in Windows but in openelec and windows media player.
I guess this is just down to the files now thoo.
