Uninstall Crystalbuntu (factory reset)
#1
Hi,

I think I made a mistake. I installed Crystalbuntu on the internal harddrive of my ATV1. Since it has not Wifi-support (I couldn't find it) I wanted to go back and factory reset, but the only thing the ATV does is rebooting to Crystalbuntu. Is there really no way? Or is there at least a way to OpenELEC? It doesn't recognize my bootable USB-stick as well.

Thanks in advance!

ATV1 is normally Mac OS X, not iOS. Thread moved.

I don't think I could ever use an ATV1 without the Broadcom Crystal HD chip that replaces the wifi card. ATV1 with BCHD is awesome, but without... blah. If I were you, I would keep Crystalbuntu and grab yourself a BCHD and kiss wifi goodbye. Or just go to the OpenELEC website and use that, since it has wifi drivers and a GUI to set them up, as well as an easy restore utility to reinstall the original ATV1 OS.
