Autostart on Fedora 18?
#1
I have xbmc installed and working fine on Fedora 18 ... I have a port configured to access the web interface from other PCs on my network and this works okay.

The problem is that I can only seem to get it to run in full screen mode where it grabs the mouse and then I can't do anything else until I quit. This is server so I would much prefer to be able to run it headless. From what I can gather xbmc --standalone should do this but that command also opens it in fullscreen mode :o/

I have seen the page containing init scripts but none of the appear to work on Fedora 18. The media server appears to start but then the web interface is not available on other PCs.

Also, is there a client version of xbmc like the plex client? My problem with plex is that it often fails part way through playing some mkv files and xbmc would be great if it had a client.

i installed using yum so my version is 12.0-RC3.
