How to get wasapi working on P8Z68-V LX?
#1
Has anyone been able to get wasapi to work on this mobo with the integrated Intel graphic card?
(Here are the specs for the mobo P8Z68V LX)

All my drivers are up to date including the chipset.
I uninstalled the Realtek driver as instructed, then I installed the latest version of Intel HD Graphics along with the Intel Management Engine Interface driver.

The sound category in Device Manager list the following devices:
High Definition Audio Device
High Definition Audio Device
High Definition Audio Device
High Definition Audio Device
Intel Display Audio

Sound Playback
Digital Audio (S/PDIF)
Digital Audio (S/PDIF)
AVR755HD HDMI (default)

** It does not list Intel High Definition Audio**

My setup is as follow:
HTPC HDMI-> AVR755HD -> TV

Direct Sound via HDMI works but it stutters really bad for DTS-HDMA (driver conflict)?
Wasapi does not work.

Any suggestion?

I would expect the "AVR755HD HDMI (default)" to be the Intel device and it's picking up the EDID HDMI handshake from the AVR hence it's name. Note to play files with DTS-HDMA you need to use WASAPI.

What does Supported Formats in Windows show?

A Debug Log showing you playing a file would help.

Does your AVR755HD support DTS-HD decoding? If it does, you can configure Frodo audio output as shown in my screen shot below. It should show up as AVR755HD in your HTPC. Make sure to update the latest Intel driver directly from here- Automatically scan your system for up-to-date drivers and install them quickly.

I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!
