Hi there,

Firstly I appreciate all the hard effort that goes into XBMC, and it truly is an awesome product.

I recently purchased a Samsung ATIV Smart PC 500T, and have been trying to run XBMC on it. Although it runs fine, video play back does not work correctly. Audio from the video is fine, and the video in this example is SD (mp4), (SD and HD can be played fine any other media player, eg: VLC, WMP, etc). Any other formats does not work either, and it is with all videos

The same issue occurs in fullscreen aswell. I am currently on XBMC 12.0 Frodo, I have also tried 11.0 Eden, however it still does not work properly there either.

All drivers have been updated, including graphics, and all settings on XBMC are default (not sure what to change).


Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance

Intel Atom Z2760 1.80Ghz
2.00GB Ram
32-Bit Windows 8
GPU: PowerVR SGX545 @ 533MHz (Intel Graphics Media Accelerator with Total Avail Graphics: 725mb)

i have a thinkpad tablet 2, same general specs, same initial issue.

i set xbmc to dxva and disabled dxva2, works like a champ now. it's fine even for 1080p content, same as mpc-hc can do.

there are some significant issues with the touch controls, which seems to be a known issue of sorts, so it's not great for actual use, but at least the playback is functional now...

I have the ASUS VivoTab Smart, I was having the same trouble, i set xbmc to dxva and disabled dxva2, works great, thanks

How did you disable DXVA2? I only see DXVA in my options...
