Can't Lick... er... SCRAPE... Popeye

TheTVDB.com has a record on several "Popeye" series, including the original (named only "Popeye") which ran from 1933 to 1957. The TVDB page for that series is here. When you look for a single year on TVDB, it lists the episodes like this:

Episode Number Episode Name
1 Popeye the Sailor
2 I Yam What I Yam
3 Blow Me Down!
4 I Eats My Spinach
5 Seasin's Greetinks!
6 Wild Elephinks

but when you select ALL episodes, it lists them like this:

Episode Number Episode Name
1933 x 1 Popeye the Sailor
1933 x 2 I Yam What I Yam
1933 x 3 Blow Me Down!
1933 x 4 I Eats My Spinach
1933 x 5 Seasin's Greetinks!
1933 x 6 Wild Elephinks

I have my episodes saved into folders follows:

\Popeye\
\Popeye\1933\
\Popeye\1934\
etc.

I've tried naming the episodes "Popeye - NN - Title" and "Popeye - YYYY x NN - Title". But neither are recognized by XBMC when I have it re-scrape. I even tried putting a very simple NFO in the \Popeye\ folder which contains only this:

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
<tvshow>
    <title>Popeye</title>
    <id>78435</id>
</tvshow>

but that had no effect. What do I need to do to get XBMC to recognize this series?

SOLUTION: I renamed my files using sYYYYeNN (where YYYY = year and NN = episode number) format and all were recognized.

I tried renaming my files and I still don't get any information. I tried for Popeye the Sailor S1933 to S1938.
