Performance Issues (HD unplayable)
#1
I've been running XBMC flawlessly on my server (Intel Quad [email protected], 4GB Ram) for ages now - no issues whatsoever streaming any time of HD quality stuff. I recently obtained an Optiplex 780 with the following spec as I wanted to move it to a media pc near the television, with an mce remote:

I5 2400
8GB 1333mhz ddr3
intel ssd
amd 5750 passive*
Windows 8

*The graphics card I know is more than upto the job because its been in my server for the last 2 years running without issue. Now I'm getting stuttering and performance issues all the time. My network is all gigabit, connected by cat 6 cabling, and running through decent HP switching equipment - I've also done some throughput testing and it doesn't seem to be a network issue, so is the above spec really not up to the job?
