Linux No custom audio passthrough in xbmcbuntu 12?

Hello,

I have posted this thread some time ago, about solving the mixed audio in XBMC Live (simultaneous audio from HDMI and SPDIF).

After upgrading to XBMCbuntu 12, I copied my .asoundrc file, but I noticed the the option for custom passthrough is missing in the new version. Therefore, I have to choose the passthrough every time I want to change the sound output.

I would appreciate any help on the matter.

That's right, you have to choose one of the available alsa hardware devices.
