Now that I have XBMC set up on my Raspberry Pi, I noticed that when I hook up a USB hard drive to it that my hard drive is quite loud......I guess I never noticed the whirring of the HD because it was always masked by the fans on my PC.

So before I go out and get a new USB hard drive I was hoping folks here had some good recommendations for ones that are very quiet? (and hopefully don't run too hot)

Notebook (2.5") drives tend to be quieter and their enclosures typically do not require a noisy cooling fan. The downside is they tend to have less capacity and cost more than equivalent desktop drives.
