Hi All - I'm on the latest frodo release (windows) and the latest youtube version ... since last week or so I can't get youtube add-on to work - sometimes I select a video and nothing happens, a few other times I get an error saying it can't play. This was happening on 12 ... updated to 12.1 today and still no joy.

Had a look at xbmc.log and found this:

Yes I have actually ... 'similar' issues were from an older version which should now have been sorted ... I also tried the suggestion of setting the youtube resolution to 'ask' but still no luck.

Sorted .... to anyone having the same issue I managed to fix it by first uninstalling the addon (that alone was not enogh), then go to
\Users\[USER]\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\addon_data and delete plugin.video.youtube folder ... this will remove all saved settings.

I then re-installed the addon and it started working again.

My theory is that something went wrong with one of the upgrades of the add-on and/or of xbmc (from RC to 12 to 12.1) .... maybe!!?

My YouTube Addon also don't work after 12.1 upgrade I followed your steps and still it's not working...

My Plugin stopped working before the upgrade. Now after the upgrade and after following the steps of SniperZoz it is still not working
