OS X Hardware decoding with Intel HD4000 not working
#1
I have the latest version of XBMC 12.1 installed. But I still have no hardware decoding. It say "dc:ff-h264" and I have checked "Allow hardware acceleration (VDADecoder)"

According to the release "hardware decoding with Intel GPUs in OSX" so I thought that HD4000 would work now

Should it work or am I doing something wrong?

I'm running a Hackintosh with a Intel i7-3770K CPU with HD4000 GPU

post the mediainfo output of the file u used (google that tool).

I use vda decoding on macmini 2012 latest running 10.8.3 and xbmc 12.1 without issues. But it has its limits about the supported formats.

All the files that dont work in OSX work just fine i Windows and OpenElec.

According to VLC the codec is:
H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)

(I've updated my first post with more info)

Hackintosh ... ok ... vda decoder on hackintoshs is not that easy i guess.

try this to ensure that your hack is configured right for supporting vda decoding:
