So, here is my log. The Funny thing is that I tried to use the XBMC log uploader and the script failed for that. LOL

Thanks again for the help

Do your xbmc speaker configurations match the speaker configs in midi audio setup ?

No it's not, if I do then XBMC won't open. Now if I do the mulit channel and configure the speakers rear and the center speakers comes from the front speakers. But I do get the sub. XBMC. Is still at 5.1

Crazy I know.

Was the sound behaving itself on 12.0 for you ? If so, why dont you switch back until these issues are resolved.

I just switch from the Raspberry Pi using raspbmc, to a Mac Mini. So I never had 12.0. I was looking for the download link for 12.0 Do you know where I can find it? I will give that a try.

Thanks

Did anyone find a solution to this? I have the same issue. I have a mac mini which is connected to my receiver, when switching my receiver from let's say my DVD player, to my Mac Mini, it will lose audio. To re-gain audio, I have to exit XBMC and go back into it. The mac seems it has no sound issues when switching, it's only XBMC and a restart of the program fixes it. Running XBMC 12.3

set your output device to "default" in xbmc - or try a nightly build...

Thanks for the advice, I've changed it to default and it still has the same issue. What's interesting though is while you have the problem, if you switch from Default to HDMI (or HDMI -> Default) the sound comes back, it like resets the sound driver or what not.

It does however look like the nightly build does fix the sound issue though, I'll keep testing and report back if it comes back.

Thanks!
