Bonjour Natethomas,
I am currently looking for EDEN ATV1.
Not sure it is there http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/...

If you're running the original ATV OS then you just need the Mac OS X 32-bit version: http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/osx/i38...c-11.0.dmg

Many Thanks to you Ned,
I am trying to install XBMC on my ATV1 with the latest Apple Tv available for 1G :
Used ATV USB creator which worked fine but I am stacked while trying to download Eden (as it seems not to be available on the default path recorded)

Any reason you want to use Eden on the ATV1 rather than install a linux-based OS on the ATV1, like Crystalbuntu (wiki) or OpenELEC (wiki)? Those will run much better than Eden will, even without the BCHD card.

I planned to install OpenElec but was not able to succeed.
Do you suggest the 4.0.7 stable release?

I remembered OpenELec caused trouble...
As I try to install it from an USB, the TV screen becomes black after 63% (Energy Saving? disabled in TV option).
After the download is (supposed to be ) completed, Swiss Army knife reappears but boots and reload the dl process...
The USB key is not readable on my Mac so I cannot erase the boot folder.

Trying to install on the ATV HD, it says from the Terminal :

"curl -O http://chewitt.openelec.tv/usb/install-hdd.img.gz
% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 0Warning: Failed to create the file install-hdd.img.gz: Permission denied
0 11.5M 0 1165 0 0 1661 0 2:01:40 --:--:-- 2:01:40 1659
curl: (23) Failed writing body (0 != 1165)"

Really disappointed compare to how easy it has been to install XBMC 4 years ago...

Usually I'm a pretty huge fan of OpenELEC, but I've heard pretty good things about Crystalbuntu for ATV1 specifically. You might try going down that road.

Thx Nate for the advise.
I finally managed to install OpenElec on my first ATV1 and will test it.
Crystalbuntu for one of the 2 next one Wink
