I have successful installations on a windows laptop, ipad and apple tv.
I decided to turn a dell optiplexGX620 into a HTPC and installed ubuntu as the base OS (because it is a lean OS) and then installed Frodo12.1. Everything works great except that playback of ANY video weather local or via a addon crashes XBMC and returns to ubuntu desktop.
I've read various articles and have turned off various playback settings to no avail. Videos playback in ubuntu so i don't think its a video driver issue, but I am a complete NOOB to linux and maybe i'm missing something. I have a basic understanding of linux and the basic commands. Numerous crash logs have been generated but I have no idea how to decipher what they are saying.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
