I decided to give XBMC a try as it supports blu-ray menus. I tried it out, and most of my blu-rays crash after the intro videos (copy right notice/logo).

This is the latest nightly build (20130328-8d76aa2). I went to nightly as this happened in stable and I thought maybe they fixed it.
I meant to submit this in the trac, but there doesn't appear to be a way to register.
