XBMC Crashes on launch
#1
Worked great earlier today, now it started crashing on launch. Rebooting didn't help.
My log says:

FATAL: CApplication::Create: Unable to start CAddonMgr

What should I do?
Thanks

Your installation is broken (however you manage to get it into that state). Move the XBMC app from Applications into your trash bin and copy it new from the 12.1 dmg. (if this still doesn't work which is nearly impossible - redownload the dmg or try the 32bit/i386 version).

hell yes - we even support on easter monday ...

Thanks! I did what you said and now it launches... but without most of the add-ons I had.
I guess I could run the XBMC Hub configuration wizard again... Right? If worst comes to worst, I could always throw it away and re-reinstall.
Sorry about the Easter thing (Here it's Passover and it's basically over)

Edit: I just realized you guys aren't responsible for the XBMC Hub. That was probably what caused the problem. Anyway, as I said... I could always re-reinstall)

Edit 2: Yup, that "Wizard" broke it again. So much for that! Thanks again.

That's correct, we don't support nor do we know anything about the behavior of their "wizard".

This is so frustrating. Yesterday, before the problem started, I used add-ons like Veetle and USTVNow which worked perfectly and showed me tons of awesome content. Ever since XBMC started crashing on launch, nothing works. I deleted everything and went back to default settings, and added just those two add-ons - no good! Veetle shows me a list of channels that don't play, and USTVNow just gives me an error. :^(

Your debug log (wiki) may give you some clues as to why these add-ons are failing.

If you also use Eyetv, I discovered something here that fixed my crash on launch problems:
