Hi,

I have a clean install Windows 8 on a new laptop I got. I always import my AppData/Roaming or in other words my userdata, in a clean Windows install so all the data is intact. Everything is working fine except for Airplay, it is a no Go. The XBMC doesn't come up on my iOS devices' airplay.

The problem isn't any router or iOS device, because except from the laptop, nothing has changed and everything has worked fine for years.
I got an iPad and a iPhone and with both xbmc on them, they happily can Airplay eachother, but with my PC no more. There hasn't been a iOS update since it worked with the former PC. A clean install without my old userdata didn't work either. Ans also other programs like AirServer for Windows just work fine.

Can anyone help me please.

Ok this ones on me. My computername had a character that in a network could't be handled. Now the computername of my windowsmachine has only normal characters and Airplay works fine. This also solved my smb connectivity between my xbmc on iPad and my PC.
