Disabling CCC didn't help.

Is it only XBMC that is giving you the black screen? -If it is - go into the XBMC program files folder \ and then the "User Data" folder and delete or rename the "GUIsettings.xml" file - launch XBMC and it will generate a new one - select the resolution and see what happens.

HOWEVER, If everything is black - go back into powerstrip - remove the custom resolution - disable CCC - reboot your computer. Go back into power strip and select the 852x480 (EDTV) resolution and reboot again.

If that don't work...i'm outta ideas. Huh

The problem isn't XBMC specific...

I remove the custom resolution from "user defined" under advanced timing options but for some reason I still have them in the display properties.

What's most annoying is that every resolution works besides 852x480 and 848x480.
