Flexget is the tool to use. It has the most intelligent options to get the exact quality you prefer (and even download other qualities when they become available, if you like). Install it and start with that link to learn a bit how it works.
Now you need good rss feeds with the qualities you want, like tvshow rss (just google it, first hit karmorra).
And, if you like, a Trakt account to add/remove shows you like to 'follow'.
I can share my old config file (not using trakt, easy) and my new config file (using trakt, easier) when I'm home later this wk.
