librtmp - Help Thread

Then you can do the addon install, activate debug and do the librtmp update again.
Before you update the file, can you do this:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

on a terminal ?

Here are the logs

Your debug xbmc.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=297179
Your debug xbmc.old.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=297181

Can you or RP help please?
I posted this a few pages back. It might help someone... Smile

All the files were original APKs from the owner's sites. I edited the files and ONLY updated the Librtmp to the 30.08.2014 version. Nothing more, nothing less.

I am really a freshman in what concerns to librtmp.

I know that every know and then RP and KSV compile the librtmp with the patches folks recommend....

I was just wondering if it is possible to try add the patch to librtmp myself instead of bothering KSV or RP...

The current librtmp.0.dylib doesn't support ezcast.tv or liveflash.tv.....Sad

Thanks

I am working on those two sites, just got busy.
Hi,

I have a Cubox-I4pro running a alpha version of Geexbox (with XBMC)

I want to update the librtmp to the last on from August. Can someone provide a link to the last lib available for this system or how I can cross-compile this to this hardware and update on the system?

Thanks

Hey guys, I installed a fresh version of Ubuntu 14.04 server with XBMC per fritsch's guide here http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=174854. I have been trying to update librtmp.so.0 but when I copy the file into /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ my system crashes immediately and then continues to bootloop right after the XBMC boot logo. I have no idea why this is happening. I have tried multiple versions of the file with the same result. Any ideas?

A BIG thanks for the update on librtmp RP!

And if you have the time and pacience to teach me how to compile the new sites into the librtmp file just let me know!

Thanks a lot!
Thanks for your new 22/9/14 versions!!
Any chance of a new .app 13.2 with this new one?
sattekop, if you look closely, there is no Android version there. What APK do you want?
I have the RP signature version of 13.1. When I once tried to install another app, I found out it would mean installing all into xbmc again from scratch!
That is why I am looking to run a RP upgrade, or another upgrade to have the new 22/9 libtrmp available on my tablet.
If you read my previous post on this page. Almost at the top, I am sharing the latest available APKs with librtmp (30.08.2014).
And the signature of the APK let you do an update. And maintaining all your addons and configuration.

Just to be safe you should backup/copy this folder inside your Android: "org.xbmc.xbmc"
It can be found here:

Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/
or
sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/

If something goes wrong you can reinstall XBMC 13.1 from RP and restore all your settings and addons with that backup.
The APK I share above is the offical xbmc 13.2 for Android (Arm) with ONLY ONE CHANGE: the librtmp.
The last version RP shared is from 30.08.2014. There is no Android version more recent than that.

If you decide to use it, please give feedback here.
Just to let folks know, who wonder what's going on.

I am going to release the latest librtmp for the other OSes.

I just randomly ended up in a tech hell, LoL.

Laptop which did the compiling normally was in for repairs, now the Win 8 is partially broken with the main desktop display driver crashing. Then a power outage caused one power supply to go bad in another PC, then finally another PC appeared to not boot after the outage but finally works again.

I think all my computers are conspiring against me, LoL.

I also am still looking in to the RasPi issue.

Just wanted to let folks know, why things have been slower than usual lately.
And with all that you still have time to let us know. Thanks.

Take your time. Its ready when its ready. Smile
Thanks Man's, thanks RP. I will wait for android update first. Sportsdevil is still running well enough.
