librtmp - Help Thread
Hi Mabs,
Koying releases a new version of his spmc:
https://github.com/koying/SPMC/releases/...13.3.3.apk
Could you please update the library?
Thanks in advance.
patria o muerte, this last SPMC has a different librtmp.so file.
It is called "libxbrtmp.so". I don't know if it is only a file rename or if it has other changes.
However, I compared with previous SPMC 13.3.2 and they are binary different.

I am testing the clean version of SPMC 13.3.3 and after that i will test an altered APK with the librtmp from 30.08.2014.
If all went good, i will share here the updated APK

Edit: patria o muerte, I sent you a PM
Hello Red ,
I have one mini pc android tv box with root , and it's true, with the new version of librtmp on the 10-3-14 folder, the xbmc doesn't start, the program closes. I tried on gotham and in helix, and it's the same thing. when I downgrade to the 8-30-14 folder xbmc works fine.
In my case the addon most important It's TVPORTUGUESA, in windows os the xbmc with the librtmp on 10.3.14 almost all streaming are working Smile but with the 8-30-14 just a few streaming are working Sad
I tried on my xperia and it's the same thing Sad

Thank you so much for the support.
Regards from Portugal
Daniel Loureiro
does this lib support rtmfp?

I think koying has updated spmc again, he said he didn't packed it well? How was your testing? if you have updated the librtmp can you share it please??
kokoui, where is that updated SPMC ? On the site there is "only" this version: 13.3.3 (2014/10/26)
Unless Koying updated APK and didn't update the date and changelog...

I will download again and compare MD5...

My tests were good. But not intensive. I asked "patria o muerte" to test also and i am just waiting his reply.

Edit: kokoui, you are right. The APK changed. The MD5 is different from the other version I had.
But that other version didn't gave me any problems installing or executing. Weird... maybe the errors Koying detected wasn't applicable every time.

Well, i will now make a new APK with librtmp.

I read his last tweet

Chris Browet @Koying
I messed up the packaging of #SPMC 13.3.3, so I re-up'ed everything.

This was from yesterday.
I edited my previous post... thx for replying

There is an update from KSV with new librtmp binaries. I'm sure RedPenguin will compile new libraries when he has time.

For now, I will use the 30.08.2014 version of the file. That is the last one that I think is working.

Edit:

Hi Mabs,
i'm waiting for replies from three more people those are testing it in intensive way.
At first sight it seems to be ok.
I am looking for the stock Gotham version of librtmp.0.dylib for ATV2. Can anyone point me to it?
First page of this topic. The mediafire link from RedPenguin.

Edit:
You want the stock version? not the "patched" library?

Thanks man. when u will bring the kodi 14.0,4 ??

Hi @RedPenguin
librtmp is not working on ios 8.1 .
any fix coming Huh
Thanks
Hi,

FYI, the "libx" thing in spmc is just a rename to avoid clashing with similar libs in the firmware. The internal name changes, too, so the hashes are different, but the content is the same as the standard Kodi librtmp.

Sorry for the multiple repacks, but it was an issue with too much and missing add-ons. Nothing on the binary side. I repacked again yesterday due to missing PVR addons.
Uau, never expected a comment from you. Smile thx.
Do you mind the modification I made with your APK? I can delete them if you wish.

You said something that makes me wonder, if internal name is also different, when I overwrite "your" libx with the RedPenguin patched one, what can happen? is there some problem with it? Is it possible it "breaks" something?
From what I could test, with RP libxbrtmp the streaming works without problem...

Thx for your work and dedication.

Edit
I deleted the previous SPMC 13.3.3 files from Mediafire.
I'm doing the process again with the new files.
After that and new tests, i will share them here if Koying allows it
I'm running Gotham 13,2 on Amazon Fire TV with a modified version of xbmc with updated librtmp (xbmc-13.2-Gotham-armeabi-v7a_Mabs_Signed.30.08.2014.apk). I'm also running the windows version on my laptop. The updated librtmp is required for an add-on called Jagobd.com. Everything was working fine until yesterday when the channels for this addon stopped working on both the devices. When I click on a channel, the progress bar starts running for a few seconds and than stops just as it did without the updated librtmp. All the other channels from other add-ons are working flawlessly. I'm wondering whether it has anything to do with librtmp.
