Force Thumbnail View in YouTube

Is it possible in Frodo to have the YouTube app default view to 'thumbnail view' like in Confluence and Aeon Nox?

I've looked for a way to do this but I'm not able to figure it out.

Also, while I'm here, is it possible to set default view for different add ons as well? I find myself constantly switching views depending on which add on I'm using. Something like a 'remember last view' option would describe it well?

Huge fan of this skin and this option would be such a good thing to have. Thanks to ronie and for any advice on this question.

change it once and xbmc should remember the selected view.
this can be done on a per addon basis.

This doesn't happen for me I'm afraid.

If I load up YouTube the default view will be fanart, I then switch to thumbnail view and click any link, like Explore YouTube, the next page that loads will jump back to fanart view again. It does not keep the thumbnail view and this is the same for any other add on I've tried.
