Hi,
I have a feature request to have Live TV automatically select the next available channel after inputting an invalid channel. For example, I have a PVR backend with channels and sub channels (eg. 5.1, 7.1, 7.2, etc). If I were to press 5 on my remote, I would expect the guide to navigate to channel 5.1 since there is no channel 5. Currently, the guide or channels view won't do anything.
My remote has limited buttons so I am unable to program a button to insert a period character so having Kodi automatically select the first available channel would be beneficial and would be a better user experience compared to having to scroll through the list to find the channel I want.
I think it would be great that this can be the default behaviour, at least for channel numbers with subchannels. It would also mimic the functionality in many TVs/set top boxes.
