I would like to run Skype from my main HTPC, preferably in Linux if at all possible. Since there is no official add-on yet, I am planning on using Advanced Launcher to run a script that would suspend XBMC, Open Skype, and then resume XBMC once Skype is closed. While Skype is active I would like to use the MCE Remote Control to: Choose a contact and make a voice call, and answer an inbound voice call.
Has anyone successfully gotten Skype to work from a remote, while using Linux? I think I may be able to find a way to do it in Windows using EventGhost... but I would prefer to keep Linux on this box (Atom 230 single core ION).
