depends on if disabling it fixes the crash?

Technically, yes. It only crashed when you press a key and the screensaver is stopping. If there is no screensaver running, then there is no crash.

I can't confirm without downgrading, and I won't have time in the next week or so. Let me know if a crashlog is needed as well. I didn't grab that the first time, just the logs (I was blindly following the log instructions).

ATV2 is running 5.2 ATV software/6.1 iOS.

All files/pictures accessed through SMB shares.

I am using the screensaver slideshow that displays files that reside on an SMB share. Once it starts displaying the files, I rarely have an issue. However, when it first starts to load and shows the big spinning circle, if I try to cancel by pressing a button, it usually crashes. XBMC crashes out to the ATV2 screen, I reran XBMC and uploaded the logs (I believe you only need the .old logs, but I included both).

Your debug xbmc.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=12904
Your debug xbmc.old.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=12905

I too have this problem/crash.
I'm running XBMC 12.3 (frodo) on Apple TV (2nd geen) 5.3 with iOS 6.x

The crash ONLY occur when using "Slideshow" from Team XBMC, AND pausing a movie/series at the same time.

After 2-3 minutes with the screensaver activated, the crash happens. XBMC shuts down, and I'm straight back to iOS (the box doesn't restart).

Will post chrash-log if necessary, but after reading older posts it looks like that won't do any good.

-Cheers-

Try to post a crashlog anyway - and an xbmc.log - sometimes they help!

I can't find the crashlog. No google-search helps me.
"xbmc.log" can be found here: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=138045
From the debug-text in the left corner, I can see that the memory fills up every time a new picture from the screensaver loads. And it allways crashes after 12-13 pictures. It seems like the crash happens everytime the memory reaches 165000kB (plus/minus). CPU load is around 40-60%.
