Channel switching from OSD channel list not working
#16
I can try it out on both raspbmc and cb2.

Is there any way that i can just compile the part of xbmc in question or should i compile the whole thing?

My dev system is an atv1 Smile

Ok just read your post back a few. Can you elaborate on what should be changed for dvbviewer add on.

Would be great to get feedback here if this fixed the issue for what addons.

Hi there,

if you are going to compile your own version you need to fix this file:
https://github.com/FernetMenta/xbmc/comm...6ef736cf47

Besides - I did it with the latest Frodo branch (12.2) and it work´s nicely.

Hi there,

I don't have any upload accounts. You can share it via email with you if you send me your adress via pn - then I can send you the compile exe file if you want too.
Just install 12.2 and replace the exe file with the new version. The installer is 50mb in size ...

Would be great if you can post the exe file on http://rghost.net/ (You don't need an account for that one)

@nielsheeren: Good to receive some feedback - Wink - thanks.

@babesumitra:
Hm ... your problem might be related to my compiled version (32bit) ... anyways - have you done a proper install of 12.2 frodo and afterwards replaced
the xbmc.exe (should use the 32bit version then)?

Thank you so much, this worked!

Only time it "drops out" now is if I press up/down channel while it's in the process of changing channel. I worked around that one by setting higher value for "Delay channel switch" in the Playback section of the Live TV settings. That way I can move several channels up or down the list in one go before tuning in. It's probably the raison d'être for that setting anyway..

Setup:
DVBViewer PVR addon 1.6.5 (included with 12.2 installation)
DVBViewer Recording Service v1.26.0.0
FireDTV with latest drivers, v5.7
Windows 7 Enterprise x64 SP1.

I did not experience the same problems switching channels with MediaPortal 1.3.0 (with TVServerXBMC-1.3.0.121 plugin) + MediaPortal 1.6.9 PVR addon, but I migrated to DVBViewer Pro for it being better/faster in other areas (like channel switching, lol), and more versatile + extra tools. So thanks again for the fix Smile

BTW the file is crazily compressible, why didn't you zip/rar/7z it? Smile
For anyone with low bandwidth, here's a 7z-compressed copy of the same file (4.37 MB).
