[Apple TV 2] 12.2 crashes on startup with mysql
#16
I also HAD crashes with the 12.2 version, tested the Davilla test-build, and that one also crashed.
I just noticed a newer test-build at http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/darwin/atv2/, modified 09-May-2013 11:32.
(Filename is the same as the Davilla one, but date is newer, is it a newer build, or did i something wrong last time i tested that build ?)
Installed that one, and my XBMC @ ATV2 is runnning now Cool

http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/darw...o-atv2.deb

again, this might look like the same one but it's different, see the date http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/darwin/atv2/

we get the same name ( xbmc-20130502-32b1a5e-Frodo-atv2.deb ) because we are building the same source but tweaking the buildslave to build from 4.2SDK.

Hi,

The following load seems to have fixed my issue as well.

Thanks Davilla,

Could someone of you with ios 4.2.1 test a current nightly build aswell? We are unsure if the issue is already fixed there or not.

I'm on 4.1.1 and the above builds posted work fine for me --- previously I had given up on mysql but i randomly ran across this thread and things are working well now.

Ring ring ring? If nobody is willing to test this with current nightly it might aswell be the case that gotham13 has the same error again ... just a pointer.

Dear Users with iOS 4.2.x or lower - this is your chance to ensure "quality" for upcoming releases.

Hi, I'm having the same problem.
I'm on 4.1.1 and XBMC crashes with any version I try 12.1, 12.2, and all nightly builds mentioned in this thread.
The problem only occurs when having the mysql db set in advancedsettings.xml.
However, the access to the mysql server goes well.. i even got db migrated/upgraded when trying some of the builds.
The only difference that I notice when starting XBMC with mysql (comparing to without) is that the RSS feed takes longer to start and comes very slowly, like there would be problems with the refresh rate of the window. XBMC crashes within 5 secs. This does not occur when starting without mysql.

On one of the logs I got the following at the very end of the log (only with one nightly build, never noticed it on any of the others)

Code:

1. Post complete logs to pastebin.com and put the link here
2. Post the CrashReporter log aswell
3. XBMC for iOS has a deployment target set to 4.2 - that means it might run on iOS Versions < 4.2 but it is not really intended to.

Hi,

1. http://pastebin.com/WQT6j9Ma
2. where do I get that log?
3. fair enough.. note that I was not upgrading anything when the problem occurred. It was working just fine a few hours before, then it didn't anymore. Works fine again if I remove the mysql part of advancedsettings.xml. I ended up trying newer versions (was running 12.0 at the time) to see if that would fix it. It sounds as if something in the mysql db went bad and is causing this...
