Xbox 360 Foxtel on xbmc
#1
Hey guys,

Ive got a "Foxtel" tv subscription on my xbox 360. Does anybody know a way of finding the links to those streams so i can use it in xbmc?

Thanks for any ideas

I don't think he's asking about running XBMC on an original Xbox.

Rather, he seems to be asking how to sniff out the stream URLs that his xbox360 is using, so that he can use them in XBMC. I suspect that the xbox360 is using some form of DRM that will make this more complicated than simply finding a streamable URL that XBMC could handle.

Only way to tell that I can think of would be to either buy an ethernet tap, or use an old fashioned network hub. Then attach another PC to the hub/tap, and listen to the packets going back and forth with something like wireshark or tcpdump. From that you should be able to get an idea of the type of data being passed, and whether or not it's encrypted. If it is encrypted, it'll all show up as SSL. If it's not, you should be able to see the HTTP requests and pull the information from there.
