HI all,
I have a problem with videos recorded from TV stations in H.264 720p50. After conversion from .ts to a more popular container format like mkv or mp4 those files cause heavy flickering when playing on areas with a lot of movement (like running people). The same files play fine in XBMC on WIndows (and other media players). So it must be a Raspberry Pi specific issues.
The problem depends on the tools used for conversion. Some cause these artifacts (gdsmux), others work fine. So it must be some elements in the container that confuse the decoding process.
I have created a bug report with some sample files here:
http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/14021
As there is not much activity on this issue perhaps someone has an idea what's wrong....
