Linux remote ir-keytable keyboard.xml harmony one
#1
Hi There,

I'm using Frodo and if I'm correct in the early years there was a Dutch developer with just that nickname.

Lately I wanted to upgrade my remote functions.
Functions which I find convenient are choosing a subtitle swapping the screen to 4:3 to 16:9 and the stretched variants in between.

I have a Harmony One which at itself is already a challenge to get all buttons working but hey when combining Plex Plex player and MCE Remote into one activity it works..

I've read that the infrared is in the kernel now..

So I did a
Code:
sudo apt_get install ir-keytable
Afterwards one can read the commands pushed wit
Code:
ir-keytable -t device=/dev/input/event2

The big question is
How do I map a action to a key without Lirc?
I have tried to edit the /userdata/keymaps/keyboard.xml but that didn't do the trick?

Kind Regards
