I am grateful for all of the support I have gotten in this forum. I was hoping someone can help me with this one. On my windows PC I can log in to CNN live with legitimate cable provider credentials. How can I integrate this into XBMC and watch this stream from the GUI with a remote button press? Thanks in advance. Fingers crossed.

I believe it is rtmpe if that helps. Can anyone make an addon for the sight where people just enter their credentials in the addon settings, like Hulu?

there is an add-on for Cnn, HLN and 4 live feeds for breaking news/event. Unfortunately it's broken and no longer work. It seems the author abandons developing it
