I did the "toothpick reset" procedure
1. Place the Recovery.img, AML script, and 1.2.zip files and put them on an SD card via a computer.
2. Place the SD card into your MX2
But it doesn't go into recovery mode it just loads the MATRICOM and sticks/freezes there
Does anyone know what happened and how I can fix it?

You should post your problem with them in their forums and not bring up a 9 month old thread. I dont see how Kodi has anything to do with your device not turning on
