scaning files on server

I have an Etrayz server and every time I want to watch something it takes several minutes to show the content. Is there a way to cash old entries and scan only new one?
Also I'd like to know how to change the duration of on screen data when start to play a movie.

Go to settings>videos> library then toggle 'update library on start-up' , the system shouldn't have to scrape/scan every time you start. Using the movie menu you can manually update at any time. The time out of the OSD is not GUI accessible, and depending on the skin you would have to appeal to the skinner (programmer) of the particular skin you are using to get information on a change such as this.
