Quality Issues playin back mkvs on my zotac HTPC
I copy my DVDs using make MKV, then I play them back on the laptop Im using to rip them in XBMC the quality is (mirror image) perfect.
However when I transfer the MKV from my laptop to my zotac using Samba and play them back on my zotac the qualitys not the same. The main quality issue being a grainy appearance?
Ive noticed when I change the image size on my zotac back to the original size the quality returns to normal, problem is the picture is obviously now small to be viewed on my TV!
This makes me think that the loss in quality is down to the image size having to be stretched to inorder to fill my TV screen.
Is this a BIOS issue, the way im transferring the MKV to my Zotac or down to a prefferance output when Im rippng my DVDs?
Any ideas on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated?
Also if anyone reading this has a Zotac as a HTPC maybe you could give me some advise on this?
