My problem is that this repository is that it is hard to make it compatible with empat0's or rellla's (because of their obscure libbdv.so). To fix HDMI, look at "LinuxVideoRenderA10.cpp". So I think the good way is to try to improve rellla's repository.
I have managed and have good result:
* plays in fullscreen on my mele a1000 connected to a 46" display via hdmi with 1080p@60hz.
* no bleuish or so and mentionned above
* added external player support to play somme "AVI" and "MOV" videos from my digital recoder witch has "junky" codec (all are ok with MXplayerFree for "MOV" files and TvdVideo form junky "AVI".
Don't know where to put my apk for everybody. The next weekend, I will clean my code, so, I'll be able to post a diff file (relative to rellla's code).

I tried your app, with the same result.
It seems vidonme/your app might work via HDMI with a Android stick/box, but have problems if you install it on a tablet.

I haven't compared vidonme's und empat0's sources very well until now, but i think there could be some improvements in the vidon.me sources.
It would be good to not look only at the android side but if it works with the linux build aswell. I never tried to compile for android myself, i even don't know how to start

The new program works well with some mkv samples I have, but had a big fail on an avi (XVID) file. The sound was fine but all I saw on the screen was a bunch of green bloches. Here is the identification of the file (using mplayer). Is this a known issue for you? The VidOnMe apk is able to play this without issues. (how do you enable the external player for avi and other files?)

To use external player create a userdata directory a file name "playercorefactory.xml". Here is an exemple that uses mxplayer for ".mov" files and tvdvideo for "avi" files.

Where did you get a copy of vidon.me justop colab xbmc 13's apk? AFAIK they haven't released it yet (could be wrong, maybe a github of their source somewhere). Should be coming next month according to taht post. I don't think their changes (the a20 HW accel) have made it to the official 13 tree yet.

They did a hacky job for their own version. I would not expect anything like that to be included in the official version. Some of the newer Allwinner chips can support the libstagefright stuff, but I don't really know any details other than that.

VidOn.Me being a sponsor or not doesn't really buy them specific support. They're just investing in the general project, in hopes that it benefits themselves as it benefits everyone. All sponsorships are done with no strings attached.
