Hi,
I am having problem with x264 mkv HD files on my Rasbian XBMC. I have tried a couple but the only thing I can see is a black screen with audio.
I have installed MPEG-2 and VC-1 codec but they don't help. Any suggestion?

The files look fine. I'm guessing it may be a problem with the amount of gpu_mem configured. Is it a 256M or 512M board?
What gpu_mem do you have set in config.txt?
Have you enabled 1080p GUI?

I have a 512M board but I didn't play with config.txt at all. When I added the keys for the codecs, the file was empty.
I have no clue what 1080p GUI is. Could you please give me some detail on what to do?

Ok, I set gpu_mem=256 and now everything seems to be fine.

gpu_mem=128 should be sufficient.
