Solved "Files" vs "TV Shows", only new items show metadata in both
#1
Hey guys,

I know the title of this post is somewhat cryptic, here are two screenshots to illustrate the problem:

Files list: http://i.imgur.com/6jtQpxq.jpg
TV List: http://i.imgur.com/0rdXt5K.jpg

So I remember at one point, my "Files list" would show all of the items with their associated metadata, very similar to the "TV Shows" view, this is preferred.

But as you can see in the screenshot, it's only showing metadata now for items that I've recently scanned in.

I'm not sure when this change but I somewhat suspect it was in 12.1 or 12.2.

If I remove a TV show from my library, then scan it back in it will show up in the file list properly. But I have about 80+ TV shows that I would like to be fixed in the file list

Anyone know how I can fix this without having to manually go back through and remove everything and add it back in?

Try this:

go into userdata (wiki)/database/

delete Textures13.db

that will force XBMC to rebuild the artwork cache.

I have a feeling that isn't the problem, but it won't hurt anything, and it's possible it could fix it.

Thanks Ned,

I tried that but it was a no go.

However, re scanning in the library did the trick. It kept my watched/unwatched status of the items, which was what was most important.

Hopefully there's no underlying problem that caused this, I feel like it may have just been a change in the way XBMC handled the library.

Marking as solved.
