3D film playing as 2D only
#1
Hello

I'm trying to source a 3D film, the problem is also found with with several files above 6GB also claiming to be 3D, is that it doesn't appear to play as 3D. I expect its something to do with the codec, but I'm rubbish at this kind of think.

I should point out the obvious first. I have a 3D TV which plays 30-40 other MKV 3D titles using XBMC.

Here is part of the NFO which I think is relevant:

VIDEO:

Codec Bitrate Description
----- ------- -----------
MPEG-4 AVC Video 24548 kbps 1080p / 23.976 fps / 16:9 / High Profile 4.1
MPEG-4 MVC Video 16279 kbps

I'm grasping at straws but is it something to do with this AVC and MVC? I'm running 12.2 on Win7 if that helps.

I tried searching the forum, but it wouldn't allow me to search just MVC or AVC keywords.

Thanks in advance

Xbmc uses ffmpeg for playing
FFMPEG doesnt support MVC... (yet?)

So normal it plays as 2D... it just cant play MVC

(not xbmc's fault)

That was such a simple response, thanks!

Instead of running several different external players, I'll just stick to AVC and XBMC for now Wink

Thanks for you help, Shank
