Bug Frodo: Corrupted Folder Names
#1
Hi

For speed of use I have all my music stored in the Music folder in my ASROCK 330 (Running Final Frodo). Works like a dream, but I have recently noticed that the filenames of my music folders are becoming corrupted.

I believe this has been reported elsewhere, but I am not aware of any fix.

Examples of the new folder names are:

0F2XH5~R

0NC5A9~7

00YX6J~J

The music files themselves seem OK, and their filenames are untouched.

Anyone noticed the same thing?

I usually find this is because there is an illegal character like : in the directory name.

: is not allowed in windows filenames and XBMC disallows it. It is a legal file/directory name in linux, but it confuses the hell out of xbmc. I rename the directories and the problem goes away.

Thanks - was wondering if it may be something like that.
