Hi guys,
Our company would like to contribute to the Buildroot XBMC development for the 8726MX platform.
We have recently received a new product DroidTV M6 which has nearly same spec as the DroidTV MX: 1.5 Ghz Dual Core Amlogic 8726MX SoC, Android 4.1.2 (4.2.2 shoud be available soon), 1Gb Ram, 4GB Rom external WiFi antena! and SPDIF out.
It has a high quality hardware and fully metallic case.
More over it can be hard switched on and off from the remote and the power button.
But the best thing about it, it has the programmable clock (it displays different messages during the boot) and it comes with the UART port.
We have already distributed 6x items to the developers and 3x of these boxes have gone to the J1nx community developers. Currently we do have 14x devices left. We should get the Kernel & Uboot sources for this device very soon ( I hope the supplier won't break it's promises ).
We will provide all the 14x devices with the USB->TTL Cables to help with the development.
We have created thread on our forum ( http://forum.androidgadget.co.uk/forumdi...php?fid=58 ) for those who are interested in joining making a Buildroot XBMC for this device. In the future we promise to provide exclusive prices on these devices to all XBMC community members.
