Solved 12.2 Crash at the end of video playback on Debian Jessie
#1
Every time right at the end of playing a video file XBMC will crash. It does not matter if the file plays through on its own or if I forward the file to right before the end, both cases will crash XBMC.

If I stop the file at any time before, then XBMC will NOT crash and will go back to the menu normally. Only the end of a file will crash it.

The last error in the crash log is: ERROR: CWinSystemX11::XErrorHandler: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter), type:0, serial:1060, error_code:9, request_code:138 minor_code:12 (there are 2 similar errors right before)

More info:

1) Debug Log / Backtrace: http://pastebin.com/Ea2TP7vq

2) No screenshots

3) XBMC Version: 4:12.2-dmo2

4) Architecture: Linux pc 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.41-2 x86_64 GNU/Linux

5) Install Method: Repo - deb http://www.deb-multimedia.org jessie main non-free

6) GIT Revision: Unknown (Compiled: May 9 2013)

7) Detailed Instructions to Reproduce the Problem: Play any video file and either let it play through or forward right before the end. XBMC will crash seconds before the video would have ended. The used skin is confluence. Stoping the video somewhat before the end of a file through the remote does NOT crash XBMC, it goes back to the menu in that case. Only if I let it play through will it crash.

8) Maybe other useful info: OS = Debian jessie/testing Linux-x86_64. Graphics card: GTX 650 TI with Nvidia Driver Version 304.88

Would be great if anyone could help with this, many thanks in advance.

Still hoping for some help.

More information: The crash happens at the end of every video play. It doesn't matter if it's a local file or a stream via a plugin, it always results in a crash.

The code which may cause this problem is already rewritten. If you want to cure this, you need to compile from source.
For Frodo use: https://github.com/FernetMenta/xbmc/tree/frodo
For Gotham: https://github.com/FernetMenta/xbmc

Thanks FernetMenta, the compile (I used Frodo) indeed fixed this problem. Smile
