Colour Genre Icons
#1
I've been trying to create a bright and colourful Aeon Nox experience. So I've created some bright genre icons. I've also been playing about with backgrounds, however I'm still unsure of my cinema effect.

I've added all into one zip file it's only 70MB;
/fanart/fullscreen
/fanart/cinema
/icons/text
/icons/pictures

Use either fullscreen or cinema and either text or pictures as per your preference.

Linux fans need to place the contents of one of the folders in;
~/.xbmc/addons/skin.aeon.nox/extras/genre/video/icons
~/.xbmc/addons/skin.aeon.nox/extras/genre/video/fanart

And windows people use these;
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\skin.aeon.nox\extras\genre\video\fanart
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\skin.aeon.nox\extras\genre\video\icons

Not sure about other OS's. Please download them if you wish.

These are great genre icons!

I am missing some however with the text on them

Holiday (Christmas)
Action and Adventure
Mini-Series
Reality
Special Interest
Suspense
Talk Show

Any chance these could also be created?

Many thanks

Only just logged back onto these forums, I've added the requested icons, although I haven't done "Action and Adventure", it's a little too long to fit. There is "Action" and "Adventure". You can rename them so they match your genres.

Are you able to post the photoshop (.psd) blanks so I can make or alter my own?

Thanks!

I created them in GIMP, can photoshop read .xcf files? Otherwise I can give you the filmstrip layer as a transparent .png?

Is it possible to get both? I can install GIMP and try it out, however I never used it before.

Here are all myworking files.

I'd be interested in seeing your icons, it's always good to add to my collection.

Hey, these are great!

And thanks so much for providing the template.

I'm working on my own for Disney shorts... and I did have one question.

How did you export these in GIMP?

I've tried JPG, but then the image loses it's transparency.

It seems only JPGs are supported... and yours are transparent... which i thought was impossible...

So how'd you export!?

Thanks again!

Export as png then manually change ext to jpg

GIMP is so foreign to me ... I've put this off for a while now.

What font is used?

There is no permission to stole my images. Your's look crappy, jagged pixels and incoherent.
