Question
I have been looking for a NAS for some time before I even decided to use XBMC. I have mp3,mp4,videos,etc that I want to put onto the NAS so I can view them on my tv.I also have Blurays that I would like to put onto the nas,but I hear that that could get expensive, due to transcoding.Unless I convert them before hand.

I also have a WDTV Live plus and an Android box if needed.

Does anybody have any recommendations on a NAS or should I just go with one of the many OpenElec builds which seem nice for the price. Not sure I can use one of the OpenElec builds to store all my other stuff?

Any info will be appreciated.

Nothing to the price outside of hard drives. Some NAS boxes do fancy stuff, but the most basic function, being storage on the network, is cheap. You can even use external USB drives and the Android box, or probably the WDTV.

Some call me a mad man, but I've even used a Raspberry Pi on a 4 bay USB enclosure for a NAS.
