Damn, it's squeaky clean, as far as I can tell. The only thing I can think of at this point is nuking the guisettings.xml file in the
userdata folder (wiki), but I'm not sure if that still works with the settings refactor?

I tried running it with no userdata folder, letting it build a scratch one, still no go.

Sounds like a misshnderstanding to me - still using the wrong settings level?

same here on Mac Mini. The new "hidden" menu for activating the advanced features is just no there.
Tried now with latest nightly, 13.0-alpha5 git 20130619, the issue remains.
Tried deleting guisettings.xml, it gets recreated, but issue remains.
Tried manually changing the setting of <settinglevel>1</settinglevel> to 3, but ofc after restart its being overwritten to default value.
Running Confluence ofcourse
