Hi,
I'm still turning on my HTPC by pushing the button on the HTPC itself.
Is there any way to turn the HTPC on by remote control?
I'm using the mobo ASROCK E350M1, FLIRC IR receiver and a logitech 300 remote control.
The system is running on Ubuntu.
Thanks

Check your BIOS (or UEFI)-Setup for an option that allows USB-Devices to wake the computer - I'm assuming you're talking about a PC which is off, not in sleep or whatnot.
Edit:
I just googled a little bit - this specific mobo does seem to have some problems. I'd suggest updating the BIOS (or UEFI) first, then check the setup for something which could refer to turning the PC on via USB.
(P.S.: It works for me, using ASROCK as well, but something in the ATX range - however, there is something funny when using Windows8: Turning the PC off via the normal shutdown-control in Windows will put my computer into a deeeeeeeeeep off state - Neither WOL nor USB-devices can wake it up, I have to press the button on the case. Using XBMC however to shutdown my PC - i can use WOL and USB-Devices...)
