Linux Question about AAC playback
#1
I have an XBMC live setup similar (different version of XBMC then the article listed) to what was done here:

However, it seems no matter what version I use, I am unable to have AAC playback work. Searching the forums, it does appear other members are able to have the audio work.

Is it possible for me to have AAc playback with the setup provided in the link? Is there any kind of workaround?

Thanks

Are you still using XBMC Live or have you switched to XBMCbuntu? AFAIK XBMC Live is old an unsupported.

I am using version 10 of XBMC Live. I was aware it was unsupported, but will going to the latest version solve my problem?

If it does not work in Gotham alpha, I'll fix it.

Is that the version I should go with? Also where can I download that from?

See http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBM..._XBMCbuntu, you'd want the xbmc-unstable PPA most likely.
