Bug cmyth pvr addon EDL skipping not working in Gotham cmyth vers>1.7.11
#1
The EDL skipping feature was working in Gotham 13.0-alpha4 Git: 20130527-840e050 with cmyth version 1.7.11, however the EDL auto skipping is broken in any later versions. The video plays back, but when it comes to a skip point the playback freezes and there is no skipping or further playback.

Edit:
Also occurs with:
XBMC (13.0-ALPHA5 Git:20130605-6ac8c44), Platform: Linux (OpenElec Rbej Version Custom Build, 3.6.11 armv6l). Built on Jun 5 2013. cmyth version 1.7.

Skipping works on the file as shown in the following log - skip correctly played at line 1563:

http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=30103

System:
XBMC (13.0-ALPHA4 Git:20130501-2ceb9d6), Platform: Linux (OpenElec Rbej Version Custom Build, 3.8.10 armv6l). Built on May 1 2013
cmyth addon version 1.7.11

Skipping was also successful in XBMC 13.0-alpha4 Git: 20130527-840e050

So probably something happened in Gotham at the end of May beginning of June to cause the problem.

The MythTV addon hasn't changed in this area and EDL still works fine on a recent pre-Gotham build on Linux and Windows (x86).
Looks like it's caused by some changes in omxplayer.

Any new news on this? Most recent Gotham build (openelec 3.1.7) still shows no edl info ("edl:-" in onscreen info panel) on RaspberryPi. Older Gotham builds used to show some edl info.

openelec 3.1.7 is Frodo, not Gotham. If you can find the Rbej custom build dated July 3, it works great with myth. Unfortunately, in the current Rbej build, using Gotham Alpha 7, has broken navigation in Myth (on RPi), which is why the earlier build is required.

Aha. Thanks for clarifying that. I'll keep an eye on the RPi Gotham builds from Rbej.
