Using xbmcbuntu-12.2.Intel-NVIDIA I am getting a problem playing back VC-1 video streams,namely picture breakup and blocking to the point of unwatchable. I noticed in the logs there are a number of ERROR messages which I assume may be the cause but I don't know how to correct them. Debug Log is at: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=29762

The ERRORs mention:
Decode - avcodec_decode_video returned failure and
CAESinkALSA::Initialize - failed to initialize device "hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=1"

Can any expert help me out and suggest a fix.

Try Gotham. It has updated ffmeg which brought lots of fixes for vc1.
