Hi, I just installed XMBC 12.2 (works fine) followed by nextPVR to integrate my tuner TV card (Hauppage WinTV 4400), tried to scan for channels after setting the device (in log file reported as Hauppage WinTV 850) but got "can not locate crossbar filter". I have no clue what a crossbar filter is.

So I am stuck here. I searched the internet but found no comparable problem. I checked the pre-requisites and I think I have everything installed correctly.

Any idea what I could do for further checking ? By the way, my TV card works fine under Windows Media Center/Windows 7

If you post the question over at the nextpvr forums, along with your npvr.log and nrecord.log, I'll check it out for you.

I found no such logfiles but I tried again and now could go one step further, scanning the (analog) channels. It found about 25 channels on the analog Hauppauge WinTV 885 Video Capture device
But I still can not watch TV: live TV, "please wait", black screen

They're in the c:\users\public\nextpvr\logs on a Vista/Win7/Win8 machines
